I have decided to sell my Hatz, serial # 133. I need to be thinking about a light sport aircraft. The Hatz has a low time O-320 and had a recent overhaul. The plane has always been in a hangar. Sale includes extra prop and intercom. I feel it is priced fairly at $35,000.

HATZ/KELLY-D PROJECTS FOR SALE

This aircraft was wrecked in 1987 and I’m not getting it rebuilt due to other priorities. It goes to the highest bid over $15,000. Make an offer! Total up what all this costs if you were to start from scratch. The engine was freshly overhauled before the crash and has about one hour of run time on it. There is very little to buy aside from covering materials and paint. Located near Battle Creek, Michigan. Call me at home 269-731-5135 or preferably on my cellular phone at 269-275-1982. I have the top wings built and hanging on a rack ready to install on a frame. I have the bottom wings ribs built and have assembled the wings once, but did not glue or bolt them together, so it will be easy to ship. Also, I have the front cockpit laminated bow and the four wing bow tips done. Numerous aircraft bolts, nuts, and washers, plus numerous chrome-moly metal parts and the drag & anti-drag wires for the bottom wing are included. All materials were purchased from Aircraft Spruce & Specialty Co. of Corona, California and are the finest aircraft items.
I have a book of all invoices and photos taken during construction. Let me know if you are interested. Reasonable offers considered.

I have a Franklin 4A-235 engine with al accessories for sale. It is a test
engine, now installed in an Ercoupe 415-C. It has about 25 hours of flight
testing on it, and runs perfectly.
The engine is only a few (like 8-10) pounds heavier than the Cont. 0-200, and each is dynoed at the factory, most make about 118-121 METRIC HP (555 ft/lbs/Sec, instead of the SAE 550) They fit on standard Cont 'C' series mounts. At one time I was intending to apply for an STC for Ercoupe conversions, a divorce ate up the funds and the time required. Motor has Marvel Schebler carb, Slick magnetos with dual impulse couplings, shielded harness, gear reduction starter, and 321 stainless exhaust manifolds that are easy to fit Ercoupe muffler/heater box, rubber mounts and pieces, mechanical fuel pump. The carb and magnetos were new with engine, not rebuilds or used from breaking yards. The basic engine is type certified by the FAA for 1500 hours, has stellite exhaust AND intake valves, one piece cylinders with replaceable sleeves. The crankshaft has built in viscous damper, there a are no known prop/shaft harmonic problems. The compression ratio is 8.5 to 1, so it will run on auto fuel or 100LL. The engine as described is offered for $9500 USD, delivery possible. Also, Sensensich Prop, 72-56, metal, with less than 20 hours is offered for $850 This would make a great replacement for 0-200 engine to get 15 or so extra HP and a lot smoother engine. Also, the pistons from the 225 HP six cylinder engine can be fitted by simply removing the cylinders, they are 11.5 to 1 compression ratio, and the engine then makes 145 HP on the same amount of fuel, although it does then require 100LL. For more info, power curves, fuel burn and three view drawings, call 540-327-3909 or email to jminerva@ntelos.net. Thanks, J. Minerva posted 5/21/02 |

| Hello! My name is Nestor. I fly a Pitts S-2B in competition, mainly in the midwest. I'd like to offer my fellow pilots giant color photo enlargements (up to 3x4 feet for $59.95) using large format inkjet technology. Hatz pilots might like to have their favorite pictures of themselves and their planes enlarged for show and tell. The enlargements would also look great at fly-ins, competitions, or club meetings. Please check out ww3.bc.sympatico.ca/scanex for more details. You can send me e-mail at Scanex@mail.entrepreneurmag.com. Thank you very much. Fly safely! |
