BOOKLIST:

The Flight of the Gin Fizz - Midlife at 4500 feet by Henry Kisor A wonderful book that I've enjoyed completely! The author learned to fly from the same CFI that I did and Henry have come to know each other. A great guy, a great pilot, and a great author!
Flight of Passage by Rinker Buck Another terrific book about a challenging flight. Rinker Buck has written a truly fine story about the human challenge and personal discovery that one only finds within great adventure.
Standard Aircraft Handbook THE reference book. If you don't have one, GET one!
Aircraft Welding (How to Aircraft Building Series)
by Paul Poberezny (Editor)
Pretty durn good weldin' book!
Custom Built Sport Aircraft Handbook : A Guide to Construction Standards for the Amateur Aircraft Builder by Paul H. Poberezny (Editor) A really good overview on general construction standards and FAA requirements. Covers everything from start to finish. Has especially good sections on W/B and engines.
Wood : Aircraft Building Techniques (Eaa How To) by Paul H. Poberezny (Editor) Really good book on wood, I just wish I could find where I put my copy!
Stearman : A Pictorial History
by Jim Avis (Contributor), Martin W. Bowman
A pictorial history of the Stearman? Jeez, how can you go wrong with that?
 Biplane
by Richard Bach
Richard Bach has always written books about flying that seem to touch something within us.
Nothing by Chance
by Richard Bach
In this one, Richard Bach barnstorms across the Midwest, something almost every Hatz pilot has dreamt about.
Wind in the Wires : A Golden Era of Flight 1909-1939
by Mike Vines
A super coffee-table book! I bought this one for the pictures to get vintage ideas for the Hatz!
