 Frank Loab's Hatz was built by Alan Hart of Amserdam, N.Y. and certainly has a different look about her. A Continental 0-300C turning a 74/56 prop powers S/N-196 and check out those sporty wire wheels. Truly a one-of-a-kind CB-1!

Dave Conrad of Wausau, WI gave his CB-1 a WWII Army Air Corp paint scheme and mighty sharp too!

 A Kelly-D, N54TL, built by Tony Long and is powered by a Lyc. 0-320.

 N8032Y, S/N-6, Built by Ray Hill of Baxter, Iowa. First flight was in September, 1981. Power is a Lycoming 0-290, 135hp. Fuel burn is 8.5 gph producing 100 mph cruise. This aircraft is now owned by Jeff Cain.

 Bill Gibbon's award winning CB-1, NX46BG, S/N-495. Engine is a 0-320-B2A, 160hp. Empty wt. is 1118 lbs, gross wt. is 1600 lbs.

 Peter Iser with his beautiful award winning Hatz CB-1, D-EJIP, S/N-273. Power is a Cont. O-200 with a 76 AK 42 propeller.

 Earl and Clay Adam's N22849, S/N-1, purchased in 1990. One of the three original prototypes built from the chalk marks on John Hatz's hangar floor.

 Jean Berry of Upland, CA using a router table to trim the ply gussets on one of the wing ribs she has made for S/N-592.

 N142SM, S/N-446 was built by Fred Muder, Bill Sparks, and Bill Shellenberger. first flight was July 15, 1994. Powered by a Lycoming O-290D, 125hp, turning a Culer 72" x 48" wooden prop. Cruise is 95 mph. Color is Waco Maroon by Superflight.

 N110TJ, S/N-110 was built by T.K. Severson of Olympia, WA. Power is by Lycoming (O-290G) turning a Hendrickson prop. (1996)

 Billy Dawson's Hatz Classic, NX52WD, powered by a Lycoming O-320, 150hp, she cruises at 114 mph while turning her metal Sensenich prop at 2400 rpm. (1996)

 Peter Iser of Elchingen, Germany, proudly shows his CB-1, S/N-273, D-EJIP. He has a 3-bladed prop to comply with strict noise regulations in Germany.

 Chef Michel Pallier of Paris, France cooked up an innovative way to dress up his CB-!, S/N-326. Using wine corks and mustard jar lids, he dished up quite a panel! Using the corks and valve grinding compound, he created teh engine turning finish called Krayling. (1996)

And now a drawing of a Hatz CB-1 as rendered by my 6 year old niece, Katie. Note the relocated gear for better ground handling and the special cruise prop. What is it about green fuselages with cream wings? Katie has assured me that this highly modified Hatz will "fly really high!".
