If you talk to any two Hatz builders, you'll probably get two views on the proper engine to use. The plans call for a Continental 0-200. But builders are putting in Lycoming 0-290, 0-235, and 0-320 engines, as well as others. Now, I'm not advocating any particular engine in the Hatz. What I'm going to do here is post the specs and notes on various installations and what's already been done successfully. The idea is simply to bring together the data to help you to decide what your Hatz will be pulled with.
Please excuse the haphazard nature of a lot of these engine pages. You won't find each one laid out uniformly. That's because I don't immediately have uniform information on each engine. What I have, I'll post. When I get more, I'll post that too. When it looks like I have the same info across all engines, I'll get so organized that we'll all be amazed!
